Most of us when we were children had a secret place. I had a small child’s wooden rocking chair in my closet beside my box of toys. I would take my stuffed animals and dolls in there and read to them.
I found this poem about a secret place:
Each soul has its secret place
Where none may enter in
Save it and God – to them alone
What goeth on therein is known-
To it and God alone. John Oxemham.
This poem talks about a special place where I can go now, at this very moment, and no one but God and I will know – you reach this special place by prayer. No one will ever find this secret place; it is yours and yours alone. I can remember arguing with someone who said there is nothing that beats the speed of light. I argued that prayer does. Of course, I can’t prove that scientifically, but I know it’s true. It’s instantaneous! What could be faster? You don’t even need to say the prayer out loud – you can pray in your soul and God hears what we don’t even say out loud. God wrote it in the Bible in Psalms 91:1: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty! Visit your secret place often. It will bring you joy!
Have a happy journey!
